Mrs. Halim
Preschool Assistant / Daycare Teacher
My educational/professional background:
My passion for working with children began through serving in children’s ministry at my church. What started as stepping into a need quickly became a passion I never knew I had. Since then, I have spent almost a decade working with children through tutoring, ministry, and early childhood education. I especially love supporting young learners in their moments of curiosity — because that’s what learning really is! I earned my B.A. in Child Development from California State University, Los Angeles and my M.S.Ed. in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania.
I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
There’s such a strong sense of warmth, community, and belonging at Clairbourn — and I love how intentional it is about making sure everyone feels like they belong. You see it in the little things: activities, events, and the way staff, families, and students are all invited to be part of the experience. Clairbourn creates an environment where everyone truly feels connected, supported, and valued, and I’m so excited to be part of a community that cares so deeply about its people.
My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
I love experiencing the seasonal moments like fun dress-up days where students and teachers get to express creativity and learn more about each other, or when the ginkgo trees turn bright yellow and make the campus feel like a sunshine-filled wonderland. It’s really the simple moments that make it feel so special!
What brings me joy is:
I love watching children become curious about something and seeing the confidence that follows when they realize, “Ooh, I can do this!” Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends, planning gatherings and celebrations, and trying new food spots. I’m also a big fan of Pinterest boards and all things creative and beautifully organized!
