The Clairbourn experience is a joy for parents and students alike. You will soon discover that your children love coming to school and the teachers and staff will become a supportive and caring extension of your family. Applying online is the next step in the process towards joining the Clairbourn community.

Once your application and supporting materials are received, students will be considered based on their previous academic performance, placement test scores, writing samples, teacher references, interviews and, in the case of preschool through Kindergarten, their demonstrated maturity and school readiness.

Preschool Grades

Education in the preschool years involves preparing a foundation for children’s learning and sets the stage for a positive approach to education which is a vital ingredient of school readiness. Children in our preschool program are ready to enter Kindergarten with a positive self-concept, the spirit of inquiry, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Lower School Grades (K-5 Grades)

Our lower school program provides a wide array of experiences in an atmosphere where learning is natural and enjoyable, with a dynamic, balanced program that teaches traditional core content, develops 21st-century knowledge and skills, and emphasizes exploration, observation, and reasoning.

Middle School (6-8 Grades)

Clairbourn’s Middle School provides a challenging and balanced course of study, a high level of personal attention, regular communication with parents, and a supportive learning environment. Our program is designed to prepare graduates for success in fine private high schools as well as to challenge students to become strong thinkers and learners and confident and caring human beings.
