  • Combination Music Teacher / Middle School Specialist

    Clairbourn School, a Junior PreK through eighth grade independent school nestled at the confluence of Pasadena, San Marino, and San Gabriel, is actively seeking a part-time or full-time music teacher for the 26-27 school year. Clairbourn seeks individuals who support our tradition of strong academics in a context of ethical values, including honesty, respect, responsibility, spirituality, and citizenship. Our mission is Creating Scholars and Leaders with Heart.

    Clairbourn School is seeking a dynamic, flexible, and creative educator for a unique combination teaching position that may be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on the strengths, experience, and capabilities of the selected candidate. This role combines elementary instrumental music instruction with middle school band leadership and elective/specialist opportunities in the performing arts and communication fields.

    Contract to begin August 1, 2026. Salary is competitive and is commensurate with education, skills, and experience, with a generous benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits. Salary range is between $70,000 and $95,000 based on our salary scale. 

    The ideal candidate is passionate about developing young musicians, enjoys working with elementary and middle school students, and brings creativity and enthusiasm to a variety of performing arts experiences. This position works collaboratively with the school’s Music Director/Teacher Leader to support and grow a vibrant music and performing arts program across multiple grade levels.
