Originating his teaching career in New York, James Woo, our new middle school math teacher, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics, Economics from SUNY Stony Brook, then a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. He holds teaching credentials in both New York and California. With over 10 years of experience teaching math and coaching competitive math teams across the middle school grades, he is excited to join our middle school team and foster integrity, compassion, and academic curiosity in his classes.
What brings me joy is:
My family and friends, my wife, board games, video games, softball, golf, the Yankees, studying, and teaching mathematics.
