Spanish Teacher (4th-8th)

Clairbourn School, conveniently located in an idyllic setting in the San Gabriel Valley, is actively seeking a Spanish teacher for 4th-8th grade for the 2024-2025 school year. Appropriate candidates will be skilled in teaching Spanish cultures as well as conversation, reading, writing, and grammar.  Contract to begin August 1, 2024. 
 
Successful candidates will possess the following:
  • BA/BS degree 
  • Teaching credential and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • Teaching experience of 3-5 years in independent schools preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • High energy level, creativity, positive attitude, and flexibility
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty to plan and implement curriculum
  • Ability to teach all content areas at the assigned grade level
  • Ability to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, independence, and ethics in students
  • Experience with integrating technology in the classroom including interactive whiteboards and iPads
  • Ability to successfully develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and school families
  • Willingness to support the philosophy of the school

Salary is competitive and is commensurate with education, skills, and experience with a generous benefit package including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits. ($58k-$79K)
