My educational/professional background:
I have been teaching since 2011, with over 10 years in first grade. I earned my BA degree in Early Childhood from Southern Illinois University. I hold an Early Childhood Education Credential (Birth-3rd) in Illinois with an endorsement in Special Education. I also hold a Clear Multiple Subject Credential (K-12) in California. I am currently working towards my Master's in Curriculum and Design from Concordia University. I have been with Clairbourn since 2021!
I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
I love being a part of a kind and caring community. It feels like family here.
My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
Free Dress Fridays! I love professional wear and the sense of community uniforms bring daily, but it's nice getting to see everyone express their style on Fridays-- students and staff alike! It feels special and also brings us together.
What brings me joy is:
I love the ever-changing nature on campus. We get so many beautiful colors no matter what time of year it is. I feel so lucky to teach in such a beautiful setting with wonderful people all around. Personally, I love spending time with my family and traveling to Illinois in the summers. I'm a huge Swiftie. And I love getting creative in the kitchen!
