My educational/professional background:
I started my teaching career in 2011 and I started teaching at Clairbourn in 2018. I have a Masters in Teaching and a BA in Communications from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. I also have Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development from UC Riverside. I have a Clear Multiple Subject credential from California and I also have K-8 credential from Washington state.
I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
Clairbourn is a loving and caring community of teachers, students, and parents. Every school year I am able to foster and grow life long learners. I enjoy the ability to collaborate and develop lessons and activities with my teaching partner to meet the various learning needs of our students.
My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
I enjoy the parent visiting days because it brings so much joy and excitement for my students. It is an opportunity for my students to share all about their lives in 1st grade.
What brings me joy is:
I find joy being able to travel to new and exciting places and spending quality time with my dog.
