Learning and Building Connections Beyond the Classroom

Jeanette Zamora, Director of Communications and Marketing
Our middle school students returned from their three day adventure trips to CIMI and Pali last week. They enjoyed many hands-on activities that deepened their understanding of the marine and mountain ecosystems, helped them connect with nature, and offered new opportunities to bond with their classmates.
Seventh and eighth-grade students explored the waters of Toyon Bay, got up close and personal with a squid, and made art from algae. Sixth graders tried out fun concoctions of mixed-up fountain drinks at Pali, a favorite tradition, and participated in lots of team-building activities, including a ride on the zipline. It was wonderful for our students to bond with one another off campus!

Special thanks to our dedicated middle school teachers who chaperoned these trips and provided unwavering support and supervision to ensure our students' safety throughout this unforgettable experience.
