Mrs. Messler
Middle School Math Teacher
My educational/professional background:
I have been a teacher since 2010 (at Clairbourn since 2019), beginning my career as a Teach For America Corps Member. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from USC, a Master of Education degree from LMU, a Clear Single Subject Mathematics Credential (6-12), and a Clear Multiple Subjects Credential (K-8).
I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
I chose to work at Clairbourn for the strong community that feels like a family. The academic program is solid and is balanced with a focus on character and emotional growth, making it a rewarding place to work.
My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
The Spring Carnival is such a fun way to see the community come together. I love seeing the joy on the students' faces and the pride they feel for their school.
What brings me joy is:
My students bring me joy! I love getting to know them outside of the math curriculum and feel lucky to be around such an inspiring group of young people. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time at home or going on adventures with my husband and toddler.
