Mr. Elmore

Drama and Music Teacher

My educational/professional background:

I attended Cal State University of Fullerton from 2008 to 2012, with a specialty in Music Education and Musical Theatre. I have been working as an international touring and recording musician since 2012, and have also been teaching privately since 2020. I have been a substitute at Clairbourn since 2012, but began teaching full time in 2023.

I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
The culture of the growth mindset, the professional, passionate, and supportive faculty and staff, and the inspiring work of the students is why I choose to teach at Clairbourn. The entire Clairbourn community - the administration, the teachers, the students, and the families - work hard to create such a special place to spend every day.

My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
My favorite Clairbourn tradition is the morning assembly. It's a great opportunity for the school to all be together to start the day with a positive message, as well as a chance for students to practice getting up and speaking in front of a large group of people.

What brings me joy is:
The "a-ha!" moment in a student's learning where they understand a concept is what I enjoy most about teaching. Apart from education, my family and my cat bring me tremendous continual joy, as does creating music onstage with my bandmates.
