Mrs. Ward

Librarian
My educational/professional background:
I have been a part of Clairbourn since I started here as a student in 2nd Grade. I have over 15 years of teaching experience. I have held multiple positions here at Clairbourn, including Librarian, 3rd Grade Teacher, and Kindergarten Assistant. I have also worked in the Upland Unified School District. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from CSU San Bernardino, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization, and an Associate of Arts Degree from Chaffey College. I believe that my job as an educator is to provide students with the skills necessary for them to succeed in my classroom and beyond. I want to see students develop a true love and passion to become lifelong learners.

I choose to teach at Clairbourn because:
I choose to teach at Clairbourn because it combines both high academic standards and an emphasis on ethics and positive character development. I appreciate the sense of community here at Clairbourn. I love seeing the positive interactions between all of the students, parents, teachers, and all of the other staff members here on campus. Of course, being surrounded by such a beautiful physical environment also makes it a joy to come to work every day.

My favorite Clairbourn tradition is:
I love the Spring Carnival. I remember the fun times I had with my friends as a student, and I love that this tradition has continued and grown.

What brings me joy is:
Working with the students every day! Their smiles and energy always bring me joy!
