"Organized and Prepared"
I started coming to Clairbourn in preschool and I have spent the past 10 years at Clairbourn. Next year, I will be attending La Salle in Pasadena. One of my favorite school projects was when I did the Explorers project in 4th grade…. I had the explorer Sir Francis Drake, who circumnavigated the globe in a single trip, and he defeated the Spanish Armada.
After I did research…, I wrote a speech about my explorer for a wax museum. I pretended to be a wax figure of Sir Francis Drake, and people would press a button, and I would give my speech. This experience taught me how to be more organized and prepared for tougher presentations in middle school.

My biggest accomplishment at Clairbourn has to be doing the Shakespeare play in 8th grade. It is always fun to have a big part, but it can require a lot of work, I mean a lot. I’m not saying that I did not enjoy doing the play, I enjoyed it very much, but sometimes I wondered if my part was too big. I had about 580 lines, and that was very intimidating, but I knew I could get it done. It took a lot of hard work to memorize that many lines, but it helped me prepare for rigorous tasks I will face in high school. Clairbourn has prepared me well for the future.
