Kindergarten
Guided units dealing with phonics, seeing, the weather, making artwork, and drawing cartoons.
  • Mouse movement
  • Keyboarding, finding the keys
  • Single clicking, double clicking, and dragging

  • Turning the computer on and off
First Grade
Guided units working with multimedia programs, video cameras, web`page software, word processors, painting programs, keyboarding, and Internet exploration.
  • Mastering cartoon drawing, turning the computer on/off, and the home row.

  • Expanding Internet surfing
  • Introduction of importing graphics, word processors, presentation software, web page construction, and video cameras and editing
Second Grade

  • Round Robin story creation

Third Grade
Guided units on advanced Internet searches, presentations, video editing, webpage software, sound recording, greeting cards, and mechanical engineering. Instruction in music theory, greeting card development, lisp programming, mythology, keyboarding, biographies, and Oregon Trail.

  • Proficiency with video cameras and editing, Internet Search engines, mechanical engineering, audio recording
  • Introduction to top and bottom rows on the keyboard; scanning; and computer simulation
Fourth Grade
Guided units on advanced Internet surfing, presentations, video editing, webpage software, sound recording, note taking, newsletter creation/editing, spreadsheets, and mechanical engineering. Instruction in music theory, virtual reality, lisp programming, mythology, animation, and keyboarding.
  • Mastery of importing graphics, presentation software, and multimedia programs
  • Proficiency with video cameras and editing, mechanical engineering, audio recording, scanning, Internet Search engines, advanced word processing, top and bottom row for keyboarding, and computer simulation
  • Introduction to spreadsheets, animation, and graphic arts
Fifth Grade
Guided units on advanced Internet surfing, presentations, video editing, webpage software, sound recording, note taking, newsletter editing, and mechanical engineering. Instruction in music theory advanced virtual reality, lisp programming, mythology, keyboarding, bibliographies, and US geography.
  • Mastery of importing graphics, presentation software, Internet Search engines, top and bottom row for keyboarding, computer simulation, scanning and multimedia programs
  • Proficiency with video cameras and editing, mechanical engineering, audio recording, advanced word processing, graphic arts, and advanced virtual reality
