Emphasizing the "E" in S.T.E.M.

New Science Education Opportunities at Clairbourn

A change is coming this year, and it will mark a strong step forward in our science education opportunities.

After many years, Clairbourn's Project: S.T.A.R. will be replaced by a new Engineering Week.  As the name implies, it will include the traditional engineering design challenge project, but unlike Project:S.T.A.R., with its science fair activities and display boards, the students will now work throughout the week in small design teams, and will be getting concept and construction idea-development help from an engineer-in-residence.
The engineering project will be announced on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, and the final testing will take place after Chapel on Friday, January 20th. (There will no longer be an evening speaker followed by a finals competition, as in the past).
